Our Story & Mission

Because some burdens are too heavy to carry alone.

Sarah's Laughter offers faith-based Christian support to couples struggling with infertility or the death of a baby. Founded in 2004 by Beth Forbus, we exist to hold space for the grief the world so often overlooks — and to point weary hearts back toward hope.

We are a Christian ministry that welcomes and offers support to people of all faiths, as well as no faith. We're not affiliated with any church or denomination — we simply try to represent Jesus Christ in all we do, and treat people as He would. We care about your heart. We care about your hurt.

Sarah laughed at the impossible — and the impossible came true. The hope we're named for

Stories of Hope

Real hearts. Real healing. Real hope.

Behind every statistic is a person who once believed the ache would never lift — and found, in community, that they were never alone.

After infertility

"Hope was born again."

After years of empty arms, a Sarah's Laughter group became the place we could finally exhale. We prayed, we wept, we waited — together.

After loss

"My baby was seen."

At the memorial service, our daughter's name was spoken aloud. For the first time, our grief was witnessed — and our love for her honored.

"I could finally grieve."

As a husband, I thought I had to stay strong. The men-only group gave me permission to hurt — and a brotherhood that carried me through.

I found people who understood without me having to explain. That kind of belonging is rare — and it saved me.

They spoke my son's name and lit a candle for him. No one else had. I will never forget that gift of being seen.

The podcast was the first place I heard someone say out loud what I'd only whispered. Suddenly I wasn't so alone.
