The heart where it all began.
Sarah's Laughter grew from one woman's ache — and her refusal to let anyone else carry that ache alone.
Beth Forbus — Founder
Beth Forbus founded Sarah's Laughter in 2004 out of her own long journey through infertility, longing, and hope. What began as a single hand reaching back to help others has grown into a ministry that walks beside couples and families across the country and around the world.
She is the author of Baby Hunger, Surviving Infertility, and Daily Double Portions — books born not from theory but from the tender, hard-won lessons of her own waiting. Today Beth leads the Baton Rouge, Louisiana support group, sitting knee-to-knee with those who need to know they are not alone.
"We care about your heart. We care about your hurt. We're honored to join you on your journey."
Beth is also available for speaking engagements — sharing hope, honesty, and faith with churches, groups, and gatherings who want to better love those walking through infertility and loss.
"God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."Genesis 21:6
Trained volunteers who show up.
Every leader here has walked through infertility, pregnancy loss, or the death of a baby. They lead in-person and online groups — including PAIL (Pregnancy and Infant Loss) groups — offering presence, prayer, and understanding to those who need it most.

Could you be a leader?
If you have walked through infertility, pregnancy loss, or the death of a baby — and have found even a measure of healing — your story could become someone else's lifeline. Our leaders are ordinary people with extraordinary compassion, trained and supported to shepherd a group with tenderness. These life-changing burdens are simply too heavy to carry alone, and God often uses those who have grieved to comfort those who are grieving now.
Find the people who will walk beside you.
Whether you're looking for a group to join or simply someone to talk to, our leaders are ready to meet you right where you are.
